First of all I would like to apologize for being away for so long. After I got back from Seoul I was busy getting ready for semester to start and organizing myself for the next six months of language class. In that time I gave my room a massive cleanup and welcomed a new roommate into my Hobbit Hole.
As soon as classes started we were bombarded with homework and vocabulary tests. It was a shock to the system as for the last month I had been sleeping extremely late, waking up even later and not really doing anything productive. So yes, I was a bit overwhelmed in the first few weeks of classes and completely forgot that I posted weekly blogs on a pineapple themed website.
This semester it is important that we get a level 3 of above in the Korean proficiency test (TOPIK) in order to get to the next stage in the scholarship which is enrolling into our official universities. This goal for the semester has kept me quite focused to improve my language skills and I really hope that I can get level 3 in the next or following exam. Our teachers are also pushing us as encouraging us to reach level 3 as well.
Anyway, the plan for the next six months is quite simple. Pass TOPIK level 3 and mentally prepare myself to enter University. It’s quite funny as this time last year I was also mentally preparing myself to graduate high school and enter university. I had no idea that I would spend the first year in Korea learning the language. With that said, from now until mid-January I don’t have many exciting things planned but I will try my best to spend my weekends doing fun things to keep my mind refreshed.
I just thought I would write a quick update of what I’ve been up to in the last few weeks before I go back to posting about the Seoul trip. If any of you are curious, every few months I get a sudden surge of ideas for blog posts and I write them all down and that becomes my content for the next few weeks. so I have a sort of schedule/plan with all the blogs that I’m writing and am slowly posting them one by one.
I hope all of you have had a great week and stay tuned for future posts
